Ink and Water

Although my favourite medium will probably always be dip pen and ink, I love experimenting and trying new things out. I received some lovely pencils for Christmas, and having not sketched for years, I was pleasantly surprised with the results. For a while though, I have been itching to try other ways of using my beautiful india ink, and this is so much fun.

I have a water filled paint brush which I use to paint an invisible picture, then dropping the ink onto it, the painting magically emerges, swirling and spreading and making amazing patterns on the paper. Here's a (very basic) video showing a little of the process... quite mesmerising I reckon.
